Leeds United have rejected two offers for star attacker Samu Saiz, according to a Spanish journalist, and fans are in two minds about whether he should be sold or not.

Edgar Navarro, a journalist with Sport Huesca, claimed that Leeds had received two offers for Saiz, one for £6.2million from Getafe and one for £9million from Valencia.

The journalist, with close ties to SD Huesca, the club Leeds signed Saiz from in a £3million last summer, added that both offers were rejected and that manager Marcelo Bielsa wants to keep Saiz and the player has no intention of leaving.

Saiz was one of the standout performers for Leeds last season but he dropped off as the season fell apart, and got a lengthy ban for spitting in an FA Cup game against Newport.

And this has led to fans being split down the middle, with some thinking he should be sold and others adamant that Leeds have to keep him

One fan said he was a “luxury player” and should be sold while another said something wasn’t quite right with him.

However, another fan said that if Leeds sell their better players like Saiz, they might as well sell the whole squad.

Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans:

OPINION

Leeds haven’t had a great summer window so far, with a couple of loan signings coming in from Chelsea. Selling Saiz now would be a huge blow and we can’t see it happening, especially with Bielsa said to be keen on him. The fact that he’s split fans’ opinions shows what a mixed season he had at Elland Road – the first half was brilliant and the second was listless. That pretty much sums up the Leeds campaign though and we’d expect to see big things from the pint-sized attacker under Bielsa. Leeds should not sell.
