A number of Leeds United fans were left raving over the performance of Tyler Roberts after seeing him net his first goal for the club in the friendly clash with Oxford United.
A young Whites side were involved in an exciting tie away at their League One opposition, who raced into a 3-0 lead before the former West Brom hitman netted less than 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute at half time, curling a firm strike from just inside the box off the post and in.
54' GOAL! What a goal from Tyler Roberts! The #LUFC striker scores against his former club within 10 minutes of being introduced 3-1

It was the first Leeds goal for Roberts in what was just his second ever outing for the club, the final result 4-3 to Oxford, having suffered a serious injury days after joining from the Baggies back in January, a blow which left him ruled out of last season’s Championship campaign.
However, he has impressed the fans on Twitter, with many believing he is starting to show why the club chose to bring him in to Elland Road.
This is Futbol has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ tweets:

Opinion
No wonder the Leeds fans are delighted to see Roberts on the goal trail – they have been waiting six months to see what he can offer the first team! Expectations were not particularly high when he arrived from West Brom and so his injury blow, while disappointing, was not seen as a major issue. How wrong we all might have been. Roberts looks like a quality forward, possessing pace and power, and has slotted in well among the rest of the squad. Leeds do need a new striker to bang in the goals but at least they now know Roberts has what it takes to stick the ball in the back of the net. If he can continue these impressive performances, he could be starting against Stoke next month.
