Patrick Bamford has passed his medical at Leeds and the club will officially announce his capture on a four-year deal imminently, according to Football Insider.

The reliable football news site has claimed that Bamford passed his medical at Elland Road today and will be Marcelo Bielsa’s fourth signing of the summer.

The report claims that he has signed a £6.5million deal that could rise to £10million with add-ons.

OPINION

So Leeds couldn’t get a deal over the line for Derby City striker Matej Vydra, but they do land their second striker target in Patrick Bamford. Not all fans are convinced that Bamford is their saviour but the 24-year-old could be prolific if he’s played in the right way. What’s more important is that Leeds are finally getting on with summer business, with two good Chelsea players arriving on loan and a fantastic left-back in Barry Douglas. Leeds fans can now look forward to Douglas bombing it down the left-flank and putting in inch-perfect crosses for Bamford to finish. At £6.5million, Bamford is a serious bargain and if the fee rises to £10million then it will be proof that his transfer was a success. We think that Leeds fans will come to love Bamford as much as Chris Woods by the time next season is over. Jack Harrison from Man City is next on Bielsa’s shortlist and he is another player who could make a huge impact at Elland Road.
