Nottingham Forest fans have delivered mainly positive reactions on Twitter after the club opened talks to sign Sporting CP winger Daniel Podence.
Forest are said to be interested in signing the winger by ZeroZero, having already snapped up the Portuguese duo of Joao Carvalho and Diogo Gonclaves from Benfica, and Podence is available on a free transfer after he terminated his contract following disputes with fans at the club.

This was met with encouraging reactions from Reds supporters along with the odd opinion about “wages being a problem.” However, positive reactions included comments such as “this guy looks unreal” and “it’s like watching Messi.”

OPINION
The news of Nottingham Forest’s reported talks with Daniel Podence looks like it has gone down rather well with the City Ground faithful. Despite sustaining an injury that led him to be sidelined for the second half of last season, Forest supporters seem rather impressed with his skill if these tweets are anything to go by. They have a reason to be excited, as boss Aitor Karanka seems to be building up a squad full of top-quality talents that leaves them worthy of the top six finish at least. Although he has a rather high release clause, the fans are not put off by that, and that shows that the club are heading in the right direction.
