West Ham are in talks with French giants Paris Saint-Germain about their creator Javier Pastore, according to a reliable journalist.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solkehol has claimed on his personal Twitter account that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are in discussions to try sign the 28-year-old.

It is understood that French champions PSG are prepared to offload the attacking midfielder this summer and a £17.5million switch is mooted.

Good move for West Ham?

West Ham fans need a lift going into the new season and the marquee addition of 6ft 1in (source: Transfermrkt) enforcer Pastore would certainly provide that.

The South American has 29 international caps for Argentina and has become a serial winner during his seven-year stay with PSG.

He has a dazzling record of 45 goals and 62 assists for them in 269 games, but he has struggled for regular minutes recently in a very competitive squad.

Pastore is a creative genius that can play anywhere in midfield and has the potential to rip up the Premier League if he hits the ground running with the Hammers.

Likely to happen?

This Pastore speculation has emerged out of nowhere and a move to the London Stadium appears to be on the cards, with West Ham in talks over his signature.

The Hammers need real improvement on their squad if they are to get back up competing for European spots and he ticks a lot of boxes.
