West Ham have approached Stoke with a “tentative enquiry” about goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper claims that newly-promoted Wolves have also asked about the 25-year-old England international while Chelsea are also interested in striking up an agreement.
It is understood that Stoke want a British record fee for a goalkeeper to cash in on Butland, who according to a separate report by the Daily Mail earns £60,000-a-week in his deal at the Bet365 Stadium.
Good move for West Ham?
West Ham really need a new goalkeeper for next season.
Joe Hart’s loan spell has ended while Adrian is not exactly one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League.
Butland would be a brilliant addition for Manuel Pellegrini and you can see him as being someone who will stay at the London Stadium for years and years.
It will more than likely be a costly deal, but a great one nonetheless if David Gold and David Sullivan sanction a major spend.

Likely to happen?
Stoke are going to want well over £30million for Butland and there are doubts over whether West Ham would shatter their own transfer record on a goalkeeper when they are still in need of a star striker.
Pellegrini will more than likely want to spend the bulk of his warchest on the attack and use what is left over to sign up a goalkeeper.
Chelsea’s interest makes it hard for the Hammers too as they could lose Thibaut Courtois in the near future.
