A section of Tottenham fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that wantaway Liverpool forward is a potential summer transfer target.
The Mirror has claimed that Ings, 25, wants to quit Anfield in the current transfer window and that Spurs have approached Liverpool in “recent times”.
Ings made just 14 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool last season and it appears that he wants to leave Merseyside in order to earn first team football elsewhere.
However Spurs fans are not sure that he should be heading to North London to join up with Mauricio Pochettino’s side as he would be simply facing the same problems behind Harry Kane in the pecking order.
One fan claimed that the link to Ings is “ridiculous”.

OPINION
If Ings wants to go and find first team football, he will surely have to move to a club that is outside the Premier League’s top-six. He’s a good player but his injury record has really hampered his career and there’s no way he’s good enough to get into the starting line-ups of the likes of Spurs. You can definitely see him winding up at a club like West Ham or Newcastle though – teams that are pushing to finish as ‘the best of the rest’ in the Premier League. He would more than likely be a starter for them, but even then there is the concern about his injury record.
