A section of Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that Eduardo Herrera is on the verge of exiting Ibrox a year after he was signed up by Pedro Caixinha.
The Scottish Sun has reported that Herrera, 29, is edging closer to returning to Mexico to sign for Toluca, putting an end to his 12-month-long Glasgow nightmare.
He was signed by Caixinha was £1.5million from Pumas last summer, but scored just two goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for Rangers, most of which were off the bench.
Some Light Blues fans have been loving the news on Twitter, with one claiming that director of football Mark Allen is “working miracles” this summer as Steven Gerrard’s squad continues it’s facelift.

We can’t keep shipping players out on free transfers having coughed up millions the season before. It’s not sustainable and horrendous recruitment. Stop giving the board a free pass people!!

A weird one can’t really say he got a chance but based on 3 managers not picking him it must have been lack of quality – all the best to him in the future

OPINION
Herrera has had a tough time at Rangers. He has only made two starts in the Scottish Premiership and clearly was never going to get a look in as soon as Caixinha was sacked and replaced by Graeme Murty, who then signed Jason Cummings on loan in January. Herrera cost the Gers a hefty fee when he joined last year. Dave King has wasted a lot of money in the last couple of years on terrible signings and Herrera is one of the most costly ones. £750,000 for each of his goals just highlights how abysmal he has been at Ibrox in comparison to his fee and fans have every right to be happy that he is off.
