Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign outgoing QPR defender Jack Robinson, according to HITC.

The news outlet claims that the 24-year-old has already passed his medical at the City Ground and is on the verge of becoming Aitor Karanka’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

Robinson will be a free agent when his Loftus Road deal expires at the end of June after rejecting the chance to renew his deal with the Championship club.

It is understood Forest have thrashed out a two-year deal with the ex-Liverpool defender.

Good move for Nottingham Forest?

Robinson is a very decent defender and Karanka has definitely signed someone who can improve his current squad.

The 24-year-old made 34 appearances in all competitions for QPR last season, scoring two goals in the process.

He has over 100 appearances in the Championship and has proven himself to be a very sturdy member of the back-line that could be a solid addition to the Forest promotion bid.

As he is signing on a free, there’s very little risk involved in this deal and fans should be very happy about it.

Likely to happen?

It does seem as though it’s just a matter of time before Robinson is announced as Karanka’s sixth signing of the summer.

The Forest manager has not waited around to improve on his squad, and it would not be a shock to see him make further signings as the transfer window progress.

With Robinson’s medical now complete, it’s safe to say that this deal is all but done.
