Brighton centre-back Connor Goldson is due to jet in to Glasgow this week for a scheduled medical with Rangers, according to the Daily Record.
The Sunday version of the newspaper, Sunday Mail, claims that Goldson’s move to Ibrox will be “rubber-stamped” in the coming days after the Gers finally reached an agreement with the Premier League club.
The 25-year-old is now set to become Steven Gerrard’s fifth signing in Govan after Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Jamie Murphy and Ovie Ejaria.
Statistics website Spotrac claims that Goldson earns £20,000-a-week in his deal at the AMEX.
Good move for Rangers?
Goldson would be a top addition to the Rangers defence, and fans should be very excited to see the 25-year-old in action next season.
The 25-year-old is good on the ball, has a fair bit of pace about him, and is not someone who will easily get bullied off the ball.
It is understood that he will cost the Light Blues £3million, which could make quite a dent in Gerrard’s budget.
However it will definitely be £3million well spent.

Likely to happen?
It seems as though the only thing that can go wrong now is Goldson failing a medical.
The former Shrewsbury defender underwent heart surgery last year and only made eight appearances across all competitions for Brighton in the 2017/18 season.
Hopefully it all goes without a hitch, but there’s still a chance that this deal could fall through.
