OPINION

Inter Milan have already made a number of exciting transfers over the last few weeks, but the signing of Marko Arnautovic would be the most impressive of all. After signing from Stoke City in last summer’s transfer window, the West Ham attacker almost single-handedly dragged his new club to safety last season, contributing an impressive 11 goals and six assists in a struggling side, attracting a number of big admirers along the way. If Inter do intend to genuinely challenge Juventus for the Serie A title, they need a special player who can produce moments of magic when is most needed, which the Austrian has shown he can provide. If the 6ft 3in attacker can strike up a partnership with Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi, who scored 29 goals in the league last season, Inter may be able to improve on their fourth-placed finish, and at last become a serious title challenger.
