Rangers are set to see three new arrivals follow Steven Gerrard from Liverpool as he builds up his coaching staff at Ibrox, according to Training Ground Guru.

The insider, who is a reputed source of information surround the activities in the backroom of clubs, states that Tom Culshaw and Michael Beale are set to join Jordan Milson in making the trip north of the border, with the latter confirming his switch to become the Gers’ head of performance via his personal Twitter account.

Milsom worked with Gerrard as part of the academy set up at Anfield, while Culshaw was the Liverpool legend’s assistant when coaching the under-18 side, and the Training Ground Guru report states an announcement on their arrival will be imminent.

Opinion

Well that did not take long. There was always an expectation that Gerrard would make the most of his affiliation to Liverpool and he has done just that, taking a trio of the Reds’ youth coaches up to Ibrox. They are obviously people he trusts and feels can do the job at hand, although there might be some questions asked over their ability to make the step up from youth coaching to being in charge of a senior side battling it out in a fierce fight at the top of the Scottish league. It might not have been the switch that was expected, with fans hoping for some players to join from Liverpool, but it is a start, and if young talents are offered the opportunity to work under their former coaches at Ibrox, then it already gives the Gers a boost to snapping up some loan deals. Gerrard has now been in charge for one day, and such changes can be expected for the next couple of weeks as he beds himself in to his new role.
