Rangers have confirmed that midfielder Jason Holt has left the club to join League one side Fleetwood Town on their official Twitter feed and website.

But fans seem pretty divided on social media after hearing the news of the player’s exit who will be joining the Lancashire based club on a season-long loan deal.

Despite the fact that Holt wasn’t the best player to wear the Light Blues shirt, supporters were in accordance that whenever he was given an opportunity to play in the first team, he would always put in a shift, as hardly a bad word was said about his exit – a fact that could not have been more different to their reaction earlier on in the day following Michael O’Halloran’s departure to Melbourne City.

Holt scored one goal last term and helped to make a further 6 in the 21 matches he did play in the Scottish Premiership but with him now having gone out on loan, and his contract due to end in 2020, it looks as though Steven Gerrard has made his mind up about where the player’s long-term  future lies and it is not at Ibrox.
