Steven Gerrard is making more moves as Rangers manager, as the club have agreed to a fee for the transfer of Nikola Katic, reports Sky Sports News.
Sky released the news on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, much to the delight of some Gers fans, who understand the defence is an area of weakness.
The Light Blues have reportedly agreed a £2million fee to land the centre-back from Croatian side Slaven Belupo.
Some fans took to social media themselves to voice their excitement surrounding the potential transfer, and here are a few of the best reactions:
If Spartak Moscow were looking at him. He’s been capped, also captained his team this season at the age of 21. He must have something about him, quite excited for to see this materialise!

The Gers faithful are obviously excited about the prospect of Katic donning the famous blue jersey next season, and he will also bring an aspect of youth with him, aged at only 21-years-old.
Rangers allowed a league-high 50 goals last season, double the amount that their bitter rivals and title winners Celtic Celtic did, highlighting a blatant weakness within the squad.
Yet it appears Gerrard is acting fast to steady the ship, having now reportedly agreed to transfer fees with two defenders; Katic and Connor Goldson from Brighton.
This transfer business will go a long way to ensuring that Rangers are a tougher team to beat next season than they were this past season, while new manager Gerrard is proving he is not wasting any time this summer in improving his squad for the next campaign.
