Wolves table offer for Tours defender Imrane Bouchema

|

Wolves have made an offer for Tours centre-back Imrane Bouchema, according to L’Equipe.

The French media outlet has revealed that the 20-year-old, who is available and out of contract at the recently relegated Ligue 2 side, is wanted by the West Midlands club after starring in the Gambardella Cup.

Tours reached the final of the French youth cup and the youngster impressed earning attention from Strasbourg too.

Wolves have already completed the signing of Willy Boly on a permanent deal from Porto and are not short of options in the position with the likes of Roderick Miranda, Conor Coady, Danny Batth all vying for a place in the side.

Bouchema would likely be one for the future and has also been offered a deal by Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.

Good move for Wolves?

Not much is known about the youngster who has only really been given opportunities in the Tours youth team but it is fair to say he is vastly lacking in experience after featuring in the lower leagues of French football.

The centre-back position is an area of the team that needs improving going into the Premier League and we cannot see how Bouchema’s arrival at Molineux would add to their side.

Likely to happen?

The 20-year-old is out of contract this summer which would make his capture a relatively easy one and having already made contact with the youngster we can see Wolves pulling this one off, no matter how obscure his signing would be.

Nuno Espirito Santo is looking at strengthening defensively by also snapping up a new keeper. Bouchema’s capture would be in line with the club’s desire to tighten up at the back going into the new season.
