6″3 West Ham giant’s agent contacted by Mourinho over potential move

Marko Arnautovic’s agent has been contacted by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho in regards to a potential move from West Ham, according to Osterreich.

The Austrian newspaper reports on the sport page of their website that the Red Devils’ coach has been messaging the representative’s of the 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) giant over a potential transfer for the 29-year-old attacker.

It is stated that early talks regarding a deal have taken place with the Austria international’s brother and agent, with Mourinho wanting to add more depth up front as one of his main priorities this summer, and that West Ham value their player in the region of £50 million.

Good move for West Ham?

Having scored 11 goals in 31 appearances this season, the West Ham faithful will be reluctant to see one of their prolific players head for the exit.

West Ham will be wanting to secure survival again next season and the sale of a star player will not help them achieve that.

However, the £50 million they may potentially get for Arnautovic could be re-invested in more players that could help them climb the Premier League table next season.

New boss Pellegrini will appreciate the funds to help bolster his squad in time for when the season starts in August.

Mourinho is a keen admirer of the Austrian, so will be wanting to push for move in order to boost his attacking options so he can push for the title next season.

Arnautovic has the experience the Old Trafford boss is looking for, and the move will establish him as a key player in the first team squad.

His versatility will also help him establish himself at the giants, offering an option of an out-and-out centre forward or a winger.
