Galatasaray are to meet with the agent of Arsenal’s out-of-favour midfielder Joel Campbell next week over further negotiations regarding the player’s move, according to Depor.com.

The online South American newspaper reports on their website that the 5″8′ (source: Transfermarkt) unwanted winger is will meet with the Turkish giants imminently as they are desperate to secure his services before he heads out to Russia with Costa Rica for the World Cup, with his contract expiring at the end of the month.

The Costa Rican international was loaned out to La Liga outfit Real Betis in the 2017/2018 campaign by Arsenal, who seemingly does not feature in new boss Unai Emery’s plans for the next season, leaving him as a free agent.

However, the boss of the Istanbul-based outfit, Fatih Terim, is believed to be an admirer of the 25-year-old and wants a transfer pushed through as soon as possible.

Good move for Arsenal?

The winger is at the age in which he should be in the prime of his career, but unfortunately it has not fallen in place for him at the Emirates.

Having been loaned out by Arsenal to a club in the competitive Spanish top flight, Campbell has experience under his belt after competing against some of the world’s best players in La Liga.

Arsenal need to get Campbell off the books, so what better way to do that than offload him to club who have a solid sustained interest in him.

Likely to happen?

Campbell’s agent and Galatasaray are having further talks regarding his move, so a move should be happening very soon.

Costa Rican Campbell will want to get some regular game time behind him, and he knows that it is not possible if he did potentially stay at Arsenal.

Galatasaray will want a move completed as soon as possible to fulfil boss Terim’s transfer wishes, which is good news for Arsenal.
