Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to send as many as eight players out on loan or secure transfers in a mass clear out this summer, according to Football.London.

The website claim that with the loan spells of 10 players coming to an end, the Argentine boss is set to get rid of the majority of them once again, with a mix of temporary and permanent moves lined up.

It is stated that the likes of Luke Amos andĀ Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, who spent time at Stevenage and Burnley respectively, could be sent out on loan once again this summer, although the French winger is also said to be up for a full-time exit from north London.

He would be joining 23-year-old, 19-cap Holland international Vincent Janssen as well as Anton Walkes, Connor Ogilvie, Tom Glover Shayon Harrison and Ryan Loft in staring down the barrel of the gun when it comes to their futures, with a handful of the names out of contract this summer.

Opinion

Not everyone is going to make the grade at Spurs but this is a lot of names that seemed to have some prospect of developing in north London over the coming years. Of course, Nkoudou and Janssen are the big talking points for they are the only ones who the club have splashed some significant money on. It is interesting to see that Pochettino has not yet lost faith in the winger despite his struggles while with the Lilywhites, and if he were able to forge a career at the club it would be a massive redemption for the flyer. As for Janssen, he has endured a terrible couple of years both in England and then on loan out in Turkey, but at 23 he has the chance to turn it around wherever he may end up next. As for the rest, their stories at Spurs end here and there will likely be a whole host of different youngsters heading out on loan over the next couple of months to help their development to become a proven Tottenham star.
