Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster was debating over his future at Liverpool but has now signed a new 5 year contract according to reliable journalist David Maddock, much to the delight of Reds fans on social media.
The 18-year-old forward made a name for himself in the England Under 17’s World Cup-winning campaign, and had attracted interest from German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach before reportedly penning a deal that keeps him at Anfield until 2023.
Brewster was said to have wanted assurances from Jurgen Klopp that he would have opportunities to play first-team football at Liverpool before signing a new deal.
However, Liverpool were said to not be happy about the interest in one of their rising stars, and convinced the young ace to put pen to paper on a new contract.

The Liverpool fans should be relieved after Brewster committed his future to the club, especially after the £53 million deal for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir fell through, and they could well see him make his senior debut for the Reds over the next 12 months, the closes he has come has been an unused substitute appearance against Crystal Palace back in April 2017.
Here is a selection of Twitter responses from Liverpool supporters in reaction to striker Rhian Brewster penning a new 5 year contract:

BRILLIANT NEWS.
I had a feeling this would happen after Klopp made that speech at the Awards ceremony. Brewster can be as good as Michael Owen.— Amo (@lfcreds78) June 17, 2018
That likely confirms his spot in the first team squad for next season as Klopp indicated a few months ago.
