Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is set to decide on his future after stating he wants guarantees of first-team football at Anfield, according to the Sun.

The newspaper states on their website that the 18-year-old hitman has been offered new terms by the club with his current contract expiring at the end of this month, but wants Klopp to reassure him that he has chances with the first team.

Liverpool’s offer to the centre-forward would make him the highest-paid youngster on the club’s books, but the hitman’s main aim is to secure regular football next season – and he would be seeking a loan spell at another club if he does not get the match time he wants.

OPINION

Brewster is a up and coming talent in the Premier League after making a name for himself in the England Under-17’s World Cup-winning campaign, and rightly wants to prove himself at a senior level following his impressive displays at youth level. He has netted 6 goals in 15 appearances during last season, which is a statistic Klopp should be eyeing up with a manner of curiosity – Brewster would only bolster the high level of attacking threat Liverpool already has with the likes of Salah, Firmino and Sane. He was a breakthrough talent last season and rightly deserves to prove himself at the top with world-class players. With other Premier League clubs also interested in his services, Liverpool need to be mindful in their crunch talks with Brewster and offer him reasonable terms regarding his future – they may just regret it if he moves to the likes of Tottenham or Manchester City and ends up being a sensation.
