Nottingham Forest fans have delivered mainly positive reactions on Twitter after it was announced that West Ham were sending Sam Byram out on loan to the City Ground according to the Sun.
The right-back has fallen out of favour hugely at West Ham, partly due to injury, and has hardly played for the Hammers since his move in January 2016, having made only 27 appearances for the East London-based outfit since his arrival last year.

Sam Byram's a great shout – with the signings Pellegrini is making there, he's barely going to get a sniff at West Ham #nffc

Sam Byram would be a superb signing. A little surprised things haven't worked out better a West Ham. Was decent at Leeds, maybe a drop down will be just what he needs.

OPINION
The news of Sam Byram’s loan spell at Nottingham Forest has certainly gone down well with the City Ground faithful. The club are definitely making a statement after bagging themselves another quality signing in the shape of the ex-Leeds defender – exactly the same as what Wolves did last year, and look where that got them. The supporters are happy to take Byram off the Hammers’ hands after he impressed at Championship rivals Leeds, despite not making his mark at West Ham. Boss Aitor Karanka means business as he aims for promotion, and the fans appear to be backing him every step of the way if these tweets are anything to go by. This season seems to be faring up well for the club after they finished in a lowly 17th place last term, and with these signings, they will certainly be soaring up the league in no time.
