Celtic fans blown away by Rogic v Hearts

Celtic came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Hearts in the Premiership on Sunday at Tynecastle, and fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the display of midfielder Tom Rogic.

Kyle Lafferty opened the scoring for the hosts after 18 minutes with a stunning finish, the Northern Ireland international leathering a half-volley past Scott Bain after a pass over the top from Lewis Moore.

The Jambos lead however lasted just three minutes, with Hoops centre-back Dedryck Boyata popping up at the back post to powerfully head home Olivier Ntcham’s wide free-kick.

That put the two teams level at the break after an exciting first-half, and it didn’t take long after the restart for Celtic to take the lead through Moussa Dembele.

Mikael Lustig won the ball on the right flank before feeding Rogic, who drove infield before stroking a pass over the defence with the outside of his boot to find the Frenchman, who slotted home.

Scott Sinclair then rounded things off with a close-range finish in the 95th minute to secure a win that was comfortable in the end for the Premiership champions.

Hoops fans were blown away by the Rogic’s display on Twitter and many have now called for the club to tie up a new deal for the 25-year-old immediately, with his current deal set to expire in 2019.
