Everton are reportedly close to hiring Marco Silva as their next manager.

Sky Sports claimed in their live transfer blog on Tuesday [11:47am] that there is a 99 per cent chance that the Portuguese manager will be hired by the Toffees to succeed Sam Allardyce, who was sacked earlier this month.

It was reported that Silva will also partake in transfer discussions with the Merseyside club in the near future, and the European boss must surely have some of his former players in mind to sign up this summer.

One of his former players that he absolute must sign in the summer is Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki, who is way too good for the Championship and must be offered a route back into the Premier League by Silva.

Grosicki, 29, has been in stunning form for Hull this season, and Silva also got the best out of him in the back-end of the 2016/17 campaign when the Tigers were relegated from the top-flight.

The Poland international scored nine goals and supplied six assists in 37 Championship appearances for Hull this term as they just about managed to avoid relegation.

The lightning-quick forward was unable to really showcase his talent in a struggling Hull side that saw them defending for most of the season rather than attacking.

And with players like Yannick Bolasie in such poor form and Ademola Lookman linked with leaving Goodison, Silva should look to make the former Rennes attacker his first signing of the summer.
