Leeds United will scout Cheltenham Town striker Mo Eisa in the League Two clash with Crewe Alexandra on Saturday, according to Gloucestershire Live.

The newspaper claims that the Whites have placed the 23-year-old on their radar and are one of several set to cast their eye over the in-demand attacker.

It is understood that it’s likely to be his last game for Cheltenham at the weekend despite only joining in the summer, with the club expected to receive a windfall of £1million-plus for his sale at the end of the season.

Eisa has enjoyed a breakout year during his first season in the Football League and is set to be watched by four Premier League clubs and a host of Championship sides including Leeds at the weekend.

Good move for Leeds?

Eisa has been in stunning form in League Two this campaign and scored 25 goals in all competitions for a fairly average Cheltenham side.

The centre-forward has come out of nowhere this campaign and looks set to make the step up to the higher divisions.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side definitely need some firepower to bolster their frontline and it could be worth a punt at a near-£1million fee for the Sudan striker.

However, for a promotion bid in the Championship next season the Whites should instead sign a proven goalscorer at that level.

Likely to happen?

Leeds are named as interested parties in the striker, but there is set to a long queue of clubs chasing him, which includes Premier League teams too.

The Yorkshire giants clearly need to add to their squad after a mediocre season and it remains to be seen how serious their pursuit of Eisa will be.
