West Ham are on the verge of agreeing terms with dazzling Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks as his contract at Craven Cottage is due to expire next month, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that Fredericks, 25, could be Manuel Pellegrini’s first signing at the London Stadium as the new Hammers manager eyes a quickfire signing blitz to kick-off his reign in charge.

It is understood that West Ham are confident of signing the right-sided flyer, who earned promotion by winning the play-off final against Aston Villa at Wembley last week and has been in stunning form all season at Craven Cottage.

Good move for West Ham?

Fredericks has been outstanding for Fulham this season.

He made 48 appearances across all competitions and his marauding displays down the right flank saw him supply eight assists as he helped the Cottagers reach the play-off final and ultimately their return to the Premier League.

The Hammers will do very well to get him ahead of what is no doubt a crowd of teams bidding for his signature.

Fulham are really missing out here and the 25-year-old will be a top addition for Pellegrini.

Likely to happen?

Judging by this report, the deal is almost done and Fredericks can be expected to be wearing the claret and blue shirt next season.

Pellegrini looks keen to get his business done early, so there’s a chance that this deal, as well as others, will move very quick over the next couple of weeks before the World Cup kicks off in Russia.
