Tom Davies must be shown the exit after reported dressing room unrest

The Everton dressing room is at the centre of a media storm involving apparent unrest between Oumar Niasse and Tom Davies, according to a report in The Sun.

If the rumours are true, Sam Allardyce will be thankful he got away from Goodison when he did.

With transfer requests reportedly being handed in left, right, and centre and players unhappy with the atmosphere at the club, really it is the Toffees youngster who wants to be taking a good, hard look at himself in the mirror.

Only in February, the 19-year-old was classed as the Premier League’s top player under the age of 20 by the CIES Football Observatory.

But his displays for the Blues have been lacklustre, pitiful and pathetic – and let’s not get started on his attitude.

When he first shot onto the scene in 2015/16, he was a player who made you sit up, so eager was he to impress.

Now, when you see him play for Everton, you are left wondering what is it that Davies actually does?

Two goals and two assists really is not good enough from the centre of the park.

Meanwhile, Niasse has done everything and more that has been asked of him.

Far from being the finished article, when the 28-year-old has been given an opportunity in the starting line-up, he has never let anyone down.

Twelve goals in 27 appearances is a healthy return for any forward and under a manager who has faith in the Senegal born ace, you have to wonder what kind of statistics he could produce.

Put simply, Davies does very little for the team in comparison to Niasse, so if the Toffees have to choose one to part ways with one of them in light of the latest reported events, we suggest it should be Davies – one of their own, who goes.
