Rangers are plotting a stunning triple swoop from Liverpool this summer which includes a move for international sensation Ben Woodburn, according to the Express.
The newspaper claim on their website that new Light Blues boss Steven Gerrard is hoping to make use of his contacts as he departs Anfield for Ibrox and that Jurgen Klopp has told the Reds legend he will help out in his first foray into the dugout.
As such, the former England midfielder is said to have identified three young Liverpool starlets as potential loan captures, with versatile 18-year-old forward Ben Woodburn and wingers Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent named as his top targets.
Woodburn, who can play anywhere in attack, is already a sensation on the international stage, having scored once in his seven appearances for Wales, and holds the record as Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer with a strike against Leeds Cup in the League Cup as a 17-year-old.
Good move for Rangers?
It seemed to be a matter of time until the reports started linking Gerrard with his former side but it certainly seems as though he could make the most of the contacts he has back on Merseyside.
The trio mentioned all would help bolster a Rangers squad lacking the necessary quality in depth but whether they have what it takes to be regulars playing first team football remains to be seen.
The Light Blues need only look down the road to see the sort of impact a young talent can have joining on loan, with Celtic enjoying some brilliant form from Patrick Roberts.
If they can get a player who can offer the same immediate impact, it would be a massive boost for Gerrard, giving him new bodies to work with for a nominal price.

Likely to happen?
While Gerrard would love to see a whole host of young talents arrive from Liverpool this summer, there are rules in place over the amount of loanees a club can field, and so he may well have to pick and choose his captures wisely.
Woodburn’s versatility would make him a valuable asset and considering his prodigal talent, seems the most likely to join, with the other two possibly back up options.
Still, Gerrard could surprise us all and poach all three.
