Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has added Porto flyer Yacine Brahimi to his wishlist for the summer transfer window, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese news outlet claims that Everton and Newcastle are also interested in the Algeria international, who is said to have a £52.6million release clause in his contract at Porto.

Brahimi has been in stunning form this season as his side won the Portuguese title. He has been involved in 22 goals in total, scoring 12 and supplying 10 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Good move for Wolves?

Brahimi is a very good player and would surely be a success in the Premier League if he was to join one of the three clubs interested in him.

The 28-year-old has been a key player for the Portuguese giants as they won the league title this season and his goal and assist record speaks for itself.

Nuno is right to have the Algerian on his shortlist for the upcoming transfer window, but Wolves are already well-stocked in the wide areas with Helder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro and Diogo Jota likely to be on the books for next term.

However Brahimi is more experience and possibly an upgrade on all of them.

Likely to happen?

Wolves are likely to spend big this summer so it won’t be a surprise to see them smash their existing transfer record of around £15million.

Porto may give into selling Brahimi for cheaper than his release clause, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him on the move.

Everton and Newcastle probably won’t splash the cash but Wolves might.

However it seems unlikely that Brahimi would leave his first team spot at Porto for a team like Wolves when Jorge Mendes is not his agent.
