West Ham have reached an agreement with Manuel Pellegrini for him to become the club’s next manager, according to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

The reporter claimed on his personal website that Pellegrini, 64, will be appointed in charge of the Hammers within the coming days after agreeing terms for a three-year deal at the London Stadium.

The Chilean won the 2013/14 Premier League title with Manchester City and has also had spells at Real Madrid, Malaga and Villarreal in a long, illustrious career.

Good move for West Ham?

Pellegrini has bags of experience and hopefully that will show at the London Stadium.

He has managed some of the best players in the world from his spells at Real Madrid and Manchester City while also winning silverware in England in the past makes him an ideal appointment for the Hammers.

It seems that the fans will not have to wait long before the managerial position at the London Stadium is wrapped up with a deal now agreed.

Likely to happen?

Di Marzio is an exceptionally reliable source of information and he is usually bang on the money.

Multiple sources have been saying that Pellegrini is closing in on becoming the next West Ham manager so now it just seems as though it’s a matter of when and not if.

According to di Marzio, the deal will be done in the coming days.

Monday seems like the most-likeliest of days to announce his appointment.
