Tottenham fans have been reacting in disbelief to a suggestion that their manager Mauricio Pochettino could leave the club should either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain come in for him.

Poch only signed a new five-year deal with the North London outfit on Thursday which would see him remain at White Hart Lane until 2023.

Now there are doubts about the former Southampton boss’ contract after reports surfaced of a supposed clause that would allow him to break his new deal should one of the two European giants come calling.

The Argentinian’s new contract, which makes him amongst the best-paid managers in the Premier League according to The Telegraph, ought to have ended speculation that the 46-year-old could leave Spurs, which came after question marks arose over about his future due to comments made by the man himself, suggesting he might be off.

Pochettino is set for an overhaul of his squad this summer and a report in The Times claims that he could very well be given £150million to spend this summer by the club as he looks to take Tottenham forward and on to the next level.

However, Spanish publication Marca state that there is an agreement with Daniel Levy that will see Pochettino leave if European giants Paris St Germain or Real Madrid approach him – and the Spurs faithful were fuming at the suggestion.

Here is a selection of reactions from Tottenham fans on social media reacting to the reports on Pochettino apparent contractual clause:
