Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is among the list of names to make it into the Reds squad for the Champions League final against Real Madrid, according to a report in The Sun.

But Jurgen Klopp must not be tempted into fielding the German international against Los Blancos as the Reds aim to take home Europe’s most elite piece of silverware.

Can has not played since the 5-0 demolition of Watford back in March and an apparent back injury which led to the midfielder’s absence from the team.

Prior to his injury, the midfielder was scintillating for the Reds and an integral part of the side.

But the 24-year-old is also unlikely to be fully-focused on the game while his future remains unresolved.

Juventus, according to The Daily Mail, are reportedly the German international’s next destination this summer after his contract ends with the Merseysiders on June 30, with a medical due to take place the week after next.

Therefore, with question-marks over his fitness as well as his commitment to the club, Klopp must under no circumstances be tempted into using the player.

With Jordan Henderson and James Milner forging a tough partnership in the centre of the park, rather than gambling with Liverpool’s chances of putting Real Madrid to the sword in the Champions League final on Saturday, Can must be left on the bench.
