Hugo Lloris made yet another mistake in the win over Stoke on Saturday – and Tottenham fans on Twitter expressed their anger towards him.
Spurs were not at their best on their trip to the bet365 Stadium, but continued their unbeaten run in 2018 by edging past a Stoke side starting relegation in the face.
The North London club earned a narrow 2-1 victory courtesy of a quick-fire brace from in-form playmaker Christian Eriksen.
However, the visitors were pegged back in-between Eriksen’s strikes after a howler from goalkeeper Lloris gifted Stoke a goal.
Mame Biram Diouf eqaulised for the hosts after capitalising on an attempted clearance by the shot-stopper that ricocheted right into his path to tap into an empty net.
Lloris’ error did not catch out Spurs thanks to their attacking power, but the France international has been guilty of several mistakes this season that have led to goals.
The 31-year-old is the club captain and been a loyal servant during his time in England.
However, some Spurs fans have started to turn on him and there was a selection of people raging about his performance against Stoke.
One even went as far to suggest the club sold him in the summer and found a new number one goalkeeper.
