Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is under pressure to ensure the club sign Crystal Palace sensation Wilfried Zaha in the summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper claims that Spurs are under pressure to land the 25-year-old attacker, as their current manager Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to receive more funding in the upcoming summer transfer window to help them move forward.

It is understood that the Ivory Coast international is near the top of Pochettino’s wishlist and the North London club now need to deliver his signature.

The Argentinian boss voiced his frustration after the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United at the weekend by stating the club needs time “with me or another manager” to help them win silverware.

The report details that Spurs want Pochettino to sign a new £8.5million contract at the end of the season, but he appears to want assurances over the summer activity.

Good move for Spurs?

Zaha is a dazzling Premier League attacker that has been the talisman for Palace this campaign and it looks like he has guided them to safety.

The versatile attacker, who can play as a winger or a centre-forward, looks good enough to make the step up to a top-six club next season.

He has scored seven goals and supplied four assists this term in just 26 appearances, while also having to carry his side for large spells.

The only sticking point for Spurs would be the potential transfer fee, but it seems Pochettino is desperate to get him at all costs.

Likely to happen?

If it means keeping Pochettino happy, then expect Spurs to go out and sign Zaha in the summer.

His comments after the FA Cup failure have led to murmurs about his future and the club need to address them quickly, as he is the most important component they have.
