Rangers are set to complete the signings of Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor with both stars set for medicals this week, according to the Daily Star

The newspaper report that Burnley midfielder Arfield has opted to head back to Scotland after his deal at Turf Moor expires this summer, having spent the early part of his career at Falkirk.

The Star claim that McGregor is doing the same with his contract at Hull City set to expire, with the veteran goalkeeper having made 250 appearances for the Gers before they went into administration in 2012.

It is said that Rangers are poised to complete both huge deals this week, with medicals for both men being scheduled for the coming days.

Good move for Rangers?

100%.

Arfield is a highly-experienced midfielder who knows what it takes to compete at the top level, and he will provide an instant injection of quality into a flagging squad.

McGregor has even more experience and has been there and done it with Rangers before his exit, and fans will surely love the return of the former academy graduate.

Both men will add much-needed quality, and this is a brilliant way for Rangers to kick off the summer.
