Crystal Palace and Arsenal are both interested in signing Everton winger Ademola Lookman, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claim that Roy Hodgson’s side have put the 20-year-old winger on the top of their list of potential replacements for Wilfried Zaha, while the Gunners are admirers of Lookman’s ability.

The Sun report that Palace have the advantage over the Gunners in the race for Lookman’s signature, as they would offer him a better chance at first-team football.

The newspaper state that bidding for the Toffees winger could start at £15million.

It is believed that Crystal Palace will need to replace Zaha in the summer as Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are all keen to sign him.

Lookman could be keen to replace Zaha at the club as The Sun’s report claims that the winger is interested in a move back to London.

The winger, who can play on either flank, previously played his football in London with Charlton Athletic before the Toffees opted to sign him in 2017.

Good move for Everton?

No.

Lookman is a skilful winger with tons of pace and could be a real star at Goodison Park if given an opportunity.

The Toffees speed demon showed glimpses of what he could do in the 16 appearances he made this season, before joining RB Leipzig on loan in January.

While at the Bundesliga club, the 20-year-old winger has continued to show-off his vast potential by appearing five times in Germany’s top-flight.

Lookman has scored one goal, while creating another, in his outings for RB Leipzig to help his side sit fourth in the league.

Also with him only being 20-years-old, Lookman is only set to get better.

Likely to happen?

For the Toffees’ sake, you would hope not

However after not getting as many first-team chances as his ability deserves and being forced to go out on loan to play regular football, Lookman could push through an exit from the club.

The Sun’s report is right to suggest that he could be the main man at Selhurst Park if Zaha left the club, as Lookman is a similar player and Hodgson wouldn’t shy away from relying on him.
