OPINION

It’s such a shame that Calvert-Lewin will not be able to make any further impact on the Toffees’ season, as he has been a bright spark at times during the current campaign. The 21-year-old led the line on many occasions for his side in the first half of the season and really looked like he was flourishing at Goodison Park. While the young gun’s playing time has significantly decreased under Allardyce in recent months, he was still making brief appearances from the bench to help his side’s cause. This really is a shattering blow for the Toffees and the youngster as the Mirror’s report doesn’t state when he will return from his back injury.
