Everton may have striker Cenk Tosun starting to find his feet at Goodison Park in recent weeks, but there still needs to be some extra ammunition added in attack ahead of next season.

The Toffees should turn their attention to the French league and plot a sensational swoop for Nice centre-forward Mario Balotelli, who is a familiar face to English audiences from his time with Manchester City and Liverpool.

The 27-year-old would be a brilliant capture for the Merseyside club and the fact he will become available on a free transfer makes him an exciting prospect.

He has been tearing it up in France this campaign and has 22 goals in just 31 appearances across all competitions.

Everton would have to win a reported race for his signature as the Italy international appears to be in-demand.

Turkish news outlet Aspor reports that West Ham, Galatasaray, Valencia and Schalke are all interested in snapping him up at the end of the season.

Balotelli has shown in the past that he can be a hothead at times, but it appears like he has calmed down and there is no doubting over his quality.

The striker has become a proven goalscorer during his career and his stint at Man City showed he can net in the Premier League.

His form this campaign suggests that he would be a sensational pick-up on a free transfer and Everton need to throw their name into the hat.
