Peter Crouch has shared that Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min has impressed him this season with his relentless workrate.

The former Spurs forward shared that Son along with Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino had altered football dramatically due to the amount of ground they’re able to cover in games.

“Football has altered dramatically due to the relentless workrate of men such as Firmino and Son Heung-min of Tottenham, who is one of the top players in the League,” wrote Crouch in his column for the Daily Mail.

“He would improve any of the best teams.

“It says everything about how much he (Firmino) runs that he’s covered 165 miles in the Premier League this season.

“It’s the same with Son (129 miles), who is so underrated.

“He shouldn’t be because he’s every bit as important to Tottenham as Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen.”

The 25-year-old South Korean international has played 42 times across all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring 16 goals while creating nine.

Son has been at Spurs since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and is contracted to stay at the club until 2020.

OPINION

At what point does Son stop being considered underrated? The left-winger has been sensational this season and loads of pundits have taken notice of just how important he is to Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Son was Spurs’ only goalscorer in the 2-1 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday, which proved his ability to deliver for Spurs at the highest possible level. While Son will no doubt be disappointed that his goal didn’t help his side win, he should realise that Spurs probably wouldn’t have gotten that far in the competition without him.Hopefully Son can continue his excellent performances for the rest of the season and help his side lift the FA Cup and secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
