Arsenal look set for a big clear-out this summer as the Gunners look to streamline their squad for another push at the top four, and that could present some brilliant opportunities for some of their Premier League rivals.

As reported by The Sun, the Gunners are set to follow up some high-profile January sales by shipping off fringe quartet Lucas Perez, Carl Jenkinson, Chuba Akpom and Joel Campbell.

All four offer a decent option for Premier League sides this summer, but it is Campbell who will surely be most in-demand this summer.

The Costa Rica international has never really been given an extended run in the Arsenal side since joining from Saprissa in 2011, and has been shipped out on six loan spells in the last seven years.

He has spent this season on loan in La Liga with Real Betis, but has found himself massively limited by knee surgery and an unfortunate ankle injury.

The 25-year-old dazzler is just coming back to fitness after four months out, and will be hoping to play a big part in the run-in for eighth-placed Betis.

Now that it looks likely that he will be sold on by the Gunners this summer, Newcastle would do well to plot a summer swoop for the winger.

Campbell showed during the 2016 World Cup that he is a brilliantly tricky winger with an eye for goal, and he just needs to be given the chance to replicate that again.

The forward is also versatile, being able to play as an auxiliary striker if needed, and that is always a big bonus for any team looking to sign an attacker.

Looking at the Magpies’ current options in attack, they are going to need to replace players like Matt Ritchie and Ayoze Perez, who have proved this season that they are not up to standard.

Campbell would be a perfect replacement for either player, and should not cost the club much after his failure to break through at the Emirates.
