Liverpool fans took to social media to express their love for Jurgen Klopp after he appeared to take a dig at Manchester United in his press conference.

The Reds are set to travel to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Saturday and the German manager was asked what he thought of Jose Mourinho’s side going into the game.

James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo who attended Friday’s press conference shared via his personal Twitter account, that Klopp thought the two sides were similar.

However the Reds manager then said “the big difference is we go there by bus, it’s quite close” and Liverpool supporters picked up on this as it appeared to be a sly dig at his opponents.

Mourinho is often accused of playing defensively in important games, in order to ensure his side avoid defeat and this is commonly referred to as him parking the bus.

Several Reds fans were quick to share how much they loved Klopp on Twitter for taking this subtle dig at Mourinho ahead of Saturday’s game.

One supporter tweeted that they heard Manchester United were set to travel home by hearse, while another fan revealed that they thought the remark would cause Mourinho’s side to play an attacking style.
