OPINION

Liverpool make the short trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Saturday in a Premier League clash that could have massive connotations in the race for the top four, and Jurgen Klopp must make five key changes from the side that faced Porto in midweek.

The Reds drew 0-0 with the Portuguese giants on Tuesday after essentially sealing their progress to the Champions League quarter-finals with a 5-0 away win in the first leg.

With a place in the last eight of Europe’s premier club competition assured, Liverpool’s focus now turns back to the Premier League and the race for the top four.

Liverpool and Manchester United are currently separated by just two points at the top of the table, with the Red Devils currently leading their rivals by just two points.

A win would therefore see Liverpool leap above United and into second, still a way behind de facto champions Manchester City.

However, a loss could potentially be damaging for Liverpool, who could find themselves dropping below Tottenham if they beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
