Liverpool came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of talking points to take from the match.

Goals from Sadio Mane and man-of-the-moment Mohamed Salah saw Liverpool recover from going behind early, and earned the Reds an important win that cements their place in the top four.

Palace started well and were rewarded with a penalty when Wilfried Zaha made a brilliant run behind Trent Alexander-Arnold before being clattered by the advancing Loris Karius while in the air.

Eagles midfielder Luka Milivojevic stepped up to take the spot-kick and made no mistake as he sent Karius the wrong way and smashed into the bottom left corner.

Liverpool wanted a penalty of their own soon after when Sadio Mane went down under a challenge from James McArthur, but referee Neil Swarbrick instead book the Reds winger for simulation.

Palace headed into the break ahead but Liverpool were back level not long after the restart when James Milner beat Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right and smashed in a cross which was turned home well by Mane.

Liverpool then dominated proceedings for much of the second-half and got their reward when Salah was found by Robertson in the box before he took a brilliant first touch and fired home right-footed.
