Everton are interested in signing Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson in the summer, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claim that the Cherries will demand £25million for the 26-year-old’s services and that the Toffees will have to compete with West Ham for his signature.

The Sun report that Bournemouth would be willing to sell Wilson for the right price despite manager Eddie Howe wanting to keep him at the club.

The 26-year-old centre-forward has scored eight goals in 24 appearances made across all competitions this season.

Despite Wilson being with the Cherries since 2014, the forward has only made 54 appearances in the Premier League due to having numerous injury problems throughout his time with the club.

Good move for Everton?

Sam Allardyce could do with adding another prolific forward to his squad, but Wilson isn’t the answer.

The 26-year-old may be clinical in front of goal but his injury problems over the last few seasons, should be a cause for concern.

With Bournemouth demanding £25million for his services, there are cheaper, less riskier options for the Toffees to take.

Likely to happen?

The Toffees aren’t afraid to spend big to get the players they want and they could easily beat the Hammers’ in a race for his signature.

However with no concrete offer on the table for his services and Howe keen to keep Wilson where he is, there’s only a small chance that this deal will happen as it stands.
