Axel Tuanzebe made his first start for Aston Villa in the defeat to Fulham – and the club’s supporters on Twitter were very impressed with his display.
The 20-year-old defender made his full debut for the Midlands giants as they suffered a 2-0 loss away to promotion rivals Fulham.
Tuanzebe only arrived at Villa Park on loan from Manchester United in January and made a cameo appearance against Burton, but stood out as he got 90 minutes under his belt on Saturday afternoon.
Villa did suffer a league defeat due to Ryan Sessesgnon and Floyd Ayite goals in the second-half, which saw them slip down to third in the Championship table.
Steve Bruce’s side remain in the hunt for the automatic spots, but now trail second-placed Cardiff by two points and face seventh-placed Preston next.
Villa fans on social media decided to highlight Tuanzebe for his dominant display and feel that he is a great addition to the squad.
The English defender arrived with a big reputation and has been talked up by Man United boss Jose Mourinho in the past.
He is a brilliant one-on-one defender that is likely to thrive from regular football in the Championship and is also very confident in possession.
