Rangers fell to a disappointing 2-1 home defeat against Hibernian on Saturday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership, and fans have taken to Twitter to slam the display of striker Alfredo Morelos.

Morelos, 21, has been the subject of heavy speculation in recent days after several big-money bids were submitted for the Colombian by Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Renhe.

As reported by the Daily Mail, manager Graeme Murty confirmed before the game that Morelos was in line for a bumper new deal at Rangers, with the board having begun talks over offering him a new contract.

The final bid for Morelos is said to have totalled around £8million, and with the Chinese transfer window running until the end of February, there is a chance that more offers may be tabled.

Morelos was left on the bench as Rangers beat Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup, but was restored to the starting line up on Saturday to face Hibs.

The Colombian is the Premiership’s top scorer this season with 11 goals, but could not manage to add to that tally as he put in a poor display.

The 21-year-old looked isolated up front for the Light Blues, but was guilty of missing a few good chances on the day, also having a goal ruled out for offside.

Fans took to Twitter after the game to slam Morelos, with many suggesting that the club should accept the big-money bids coming in for him.
