Celtic put in a brilliant team performance to overcome Zenit St. Petersburg 1-0 in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 tie at Parkhead on Thursday, but fans took to Twitter after the game to slam the display of defender Mikael Lustig.
The Hoops kept the Russian visitors quiet for most of the match and snatched a winner in the 78th minute through Callum McGregor, who was fantastic all evening.
The midfielder made a smart run into the box as Celtic streamed forward on the counter-attack, with substitute Charly Musonda finding him with a clipped ball before he brought it down and fired home off the crossbar.
It was just reward for Celtic’s play all night, and they will now head into the second leg in St. Petersburg in a brilliant position to advance to the last-16 of the competition.
There were brilliant performances all over the pitch for the Hoops, particularly in midfield, but Lustig was one player who failed to impress on the night.
The 31-year-old Swede was playing on the right of a back three with Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic, with both his defensive partners putting in brilliant shifts.
Fans took to Twitter after the match to express their disappointment at his display.

Lustig is an embarrassment the way he throws himself to the ground, then rolls around.
