Charly Musonda completed 90 minutes in the draw against St Johnstone on Sunday – and the Celtic fans on Twitter were highly critical of his performance.

The 21-year-old was unable to break the deadlock as the Bhoys were held to a surprise goalless draw at Parkhead in the league.

Brendan Rodgers decided to make seven changes to his side for the league clash as the manager clearly has one eye on next Thursday’s second leg clash with Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League.

The result means that Celtic do extend their lead at the top of the league and are nine points ahead of second-placed Rangers.

Musonda made just his fifth appearance for the Scottish champions since he joined on loan from Chelsea in January and is still waiting to find his best form.

The 21-year-old is a highly-rated attacker that is renowned for his extreme pace and quick feet that usually makes him a menace in the final third.

He is yet to open his goalscoring account for the Bhoys, but did lay on the assist that helped secure a 1-0 win over Zenit recently.

Celtic fans on social media were critical of Musonda for his display at the weekend and there is a suggestion that the Belgian playmaker needs to toughen up.
