Rangers

Rangers best XI v Hearts

|

Wes Foderingham (Goalkeeper) – The clear choice for Rangers in goal, Foderingham has been on great form all season long. Retains his place.

James Tavernier (Right-back) – Tavernier has been rewarded for his brilliant form this season with a bumper new contract at Ibrox, and Rangers must hope they hold onto the flyer for many years to come. An easy choice at right-back for Murty. Retains his place.

Bruno Alves (Centre-back) – Alves has been out of action for Rangers for several weeks with a knee injury, but he is reportedly fit to return on Saturday. The comeback of Portugal international comes at the perfect time for Murty, who needs to switch things up in defence after conceding three v Hamilton. David Bates must be the man to be axed, with the 21-year-old looking slightly shaky at times last weekend. The experience of Alves and Russell Martin should provide a good base for the Gers. Alves for Bates.

Russell Martin (Centre-back) – Martin is yet to really show his worth since joining on loan in January, but his experience and leadership has been clear to see. Just about pips Bates to the starting spot here, with both players not putting in their best performances v Hamilton. Retains his place.

Declan John (Left-back) – One January signing that went under the radar was the permanent deal handed to John, who had spent the first-half of the season on loan. The young left-back has been superb all season, and must start as normal on Saturday. Retains his place.
