Tottenham are plotting a move to sign David Neres for next season, according to Goal.
The website claim after signing Lucas Moura in the January transfer window Spurs already have plans to sign another Brazilian in the summer, in the form of Neres.
Goal report that the 20-year-old winger has captured Tottenham’s interest as he is one of the main stars in Ajax’s team.
Neres has scored nine goals and registered an impressive 12 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Dutch side this season.
Calciomercato previously reported that Spurs were interested in the player who is dubbed ‘little Neymar’ in December and that Ajax believe the 20-year-old is worth £22million.
Neres earned the nickname ‘little Neymar’ after several journalists in Brazil rushed to compare the winger to his highly-rated compatriot Neymar.
Good move for Tottenham?
Yes. The winger, who can play on either flank, didn’t get compared to Neymar by accident and he would be an exciting signing for Spurs.
With Neres having 12 assists in 24 appearances for Ajax this season, it’s not hard to see the creative presence he would bring to Tottenham’s current side.
If Mauricio Pochettino was able to field a side with Neres, Moura and Christian Eriksen then plenty of goals would follow, as these three would put chances on a plate for their teammates.

It’s a promising sign that Tottenham are planning a move this early, however it will be a tough task to sign the 20-year-old.
Calciomercato‘s report shared that AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal were all keen on the winger, and that’s a lot of clubs for Spurs to fight off.
Especially when you consider that they’re all among Europe’s elite and all have the spending power to splash a ridiculous amount of cash on Neres.
The only thing that might give Spurs the edge is the fact that Neres may find comfort in fellow Brazilian Moura already being at the club.
