Tottenham expected XI v Crystal Palace

|

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – Lloris was rested in the FA Cup as normal, but is expected back between the sticks for Spurs. Lloris for Michel Vorm.

Kieran Trippier (Right-back) – Trippier has comeback well from being shunted down from first-choice right-back, and is now widely seen as Spurs’ best choice in that position. His pinpoint delivery from wide areas and more measured defensive work puts him ahead of Serge Aurier. Retains his place.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Sanchez was dropped for the FA Cup clash in favour of contract rebel Toby Alderweireld, who put in an uncharacteristically poor performance. Pochettino is expected to revert to the pairing of Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen for this one, especially considering Alderweireld’s contract issues at the moment. Sanchez for the axed Alderweireld.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen has been brilliant for Spurs this season, and his form has been one of the main reasons why they have not felt Alderweireld’s injury absence as keenly as they would have normally. Expected back after being rested in the FA Cup. Vertonghen for Juan Foyth.

Ben Davies (Left-back) – Davies has capitalised on Danny Rose’s injury setback to become Pochettino’s first-choice left-back. The Welshman was rested for Rose in the cup tie, but is expected back on Sunday. Davies for Rose.
